Great News!!!

Hey Everyone:

Things are going great with the church plant. Barry and a team from Hernando Baptist Church is in Vegas this week prayer walking and surveying Southern Summerlin. They have made some great contacts and we are finding many people who are interested in a new church plant. Please pray that the Lord would use the three teams that are going to Vegas this summer to help us determine where we should begin our work.

Also, I am pleased to announce that LifePoint Church in Senatobia, Mississippi, has come on board as the church planting church. This is an important part of the church planting process. I am so excited to be working under the authority and leadership of such a missions minded church.

Let me share a financial need with all of you. We have completed our DVD to send out to churches as we seek to develop praying, giving, and going partners. We need $1,000 to print the DVD mailer/flyer that we have produced. Please pray that the Lord would meet this need. If you would like to help with this particular project, please send a check to:

Quik update

Hey Everyone:

Sorry we haven’t updated the blog in a while, but we have been busy! Things are going well. We should have a promotional video up on the blog by the middle of May. Pray as we continue to form partnerships with local churches and denominational leaders. We will have some major announcements in just a few weeks! Stay tuned.

Partnership Plan for Redemption Baptist Church

• As we are making preparations to go, we are looking for partners in ministry for this endeavor. There are three kinds of partners that God has placed on our hearts to seek:
  · Praying Partners
  · Giving Partners
  · Going Partners
  
• We are seeking to enlist Praying Partners that will commit to pray for a number of specific things that will empower this ministry for the task at hand. We will provide prayer guides and ministry progress updates for our Praying Partners through our website (www.redemptionvegas.com), emails and phone text updates.
  
• We are seeking to enlist Giving Partners that will commit to be a part of this work through giving financially as God directs them to give. We will be sharing what our start up budgetary needs will be with churches, organizations, or individuals so they may commit to give over a designated period of time to development of this church and its ministries.
  · Monthly Giving Opportunity
  · Specific Need Giving (project specific, one time gifts)
  
• The next area of partnerships that we are seeking are Going Partners. These partners can be families, couples or individuals whom God has placed a call to go and to serve for a season as seed members for the church plant. These Going Partners would relocate to Las Vegas and plug-in to the community and begin building relationships and connecting with people and through these relationships connect people with the redeeming power of Christ.
  · Long Term Planters – 2 years or more
  · Short Term Planters – 1 week to 2 years

Redemption is Coming

Hello Everyone:

This is the first blog of a new church plant in the works for Las Vegas in 2011. Barry Tweedy, along with his family and me (Neal Creecy) will be moving to Vegas in January 2011 to start Redemption Baptist Church. I am looking forward to seeing what God is going to do through this plant. Over the next few weeks we will be updating this website with more information about the church plant as well as the church planting team.

We do have a few prayer requests we would like to share so that folks can be praying:

1. Barry and I will be traveling to Las Vegas March 8-13. We are hoping to film a promotional video that we can share with churches. Please pray that the Lord would provide us people with the equipment and expertise in order to make a professional video.

2. During our trip in March, we will be looking at housing and schools. Pray that the Lord would show us what neighborhood He desires for us to plant our lives.

3. Please pray that we would continue to build partnerships with churches who want to be a part of this work.
